About Me
Who am I?
Hey there, I’m Avisa Fallah, a Computer Science graduate from the University of Tehran, where my path was shaped by a deep curiosity at the intersection of brain and human behavior through the lens of computation and data analysis. Over the course of my studies, this passion for understanding the human mind led me to the field of computational neurocognition, deepening my interest in how brain function influences thoughts and behavior.
Research Interests
My research focuses on neuroimaging analysis to investigate brain–behavior relationships and on developing tools using image processing techniques, large language models, and natural language processing for the diagnosis and rehabilitation of neurocognitive disorders. I combine computational methods, neuroscience, cognitive science, and a touch of art in my approach. I’m especially passionate about designing cognitive assessment tools and therapeutic interventions—particularly cognitive chatbots—that are both scientifically grounded and emotionally resonant.
Other Interests
Beyond academia, I’ve always been drawn to the world of artistic expression (You can visit my art portfolio here). Painting, calligraphy, photography, singing, and theater have been constant companions on my journey, each a different language through which I explore and share my inner world. I began painting at the age of three, inspired by the colors and rhythms of life around me, and that creative spark has never left me. I find comfort in the pages of poetry and novels, and inspiration in the stories told through film and series. To stay grounded, I swim, play volleyball, and seek ways to support those around me, believing that a balanced life nurtures both mind and soul.
Life is a canvas, and I’m painting it with all the colors of my passions.
